Please take note of the NEW location for our meetings. 8:30 AM Continental Breakfast 9:15 AM Opening Session and Announcements Bill Munson 9:30 AM LINUX LINUX LINUX LINUX Harry Williams of Marist College will talk about what they are doing with LINUX at Marist College. 10:30 AM Break 10:45 AM MORE LINUX MORE LINUX LINUX on S/390 by Romney White of IBM's VM Development organization. There has been a lot of talk and mailing list activity related to running LINUX on System/390 hardware. This intriguing concept is explored and some of the implications of this idea are examined. In addition, recent availability of patches to linux that allow it to run on S/390 will be explained and some experience using LINUX on S/390 will be described. Romney is involved in projects related to VM, TCP/IP and LINUX. He has spoken at SHARE and MVMUA many times. 12:00 noon LUNCH break 1:30 PM Question and Answers from the morning sessions (Harry and Romney might have to leave early?) 2.00 PM LINUX Dimitry Gorodchanin of Information Builders wiil talk what he has been doing with LINUX. By meeting time I hope to talk Eric Schuler-Dalverny and Mike Prahin into participating too and give thier ideas and views. 3:15 PM Break 3:30 PM REXX, IUCV whatever is on his mind Fred Hitzman of Information Builders will talk about whatever is on his mind, and who knows he might even talk about LINUX 4:30 PM Questions and Answers on any and all subjects. With this group someone always has a question and there is always and answer to be found. There is a chance we might even be ready to reinstitute our old habit of giving a book away at the meeting.
