Barton has

- Worked with and supported measurement and capacity tools

for somewhere around 20 years on lots of different platforms,

including DOS/VS, MVS, Unix, VM/HPO, VM/XA, and VM/ESA, This

provided lots of opportunities to understand different

measurement technologies.

- Performed research to write IBM's HPO Tuning Guide and

Velocity Software's VM/XA and VM/ESA Performance Tuning Guide

providing an insight into what problems need to be solved for

performance tuners and capacity planners.

- Worked as developer of a network measurement product (ESATCP)

and VM performance products (ESAMAP and ESAMON), providing

valuable experience in solving those problems....
