- IBM - Automated Charting on CMS
I use CMS a great deal every day. Usually I look at tables of numbers generated by various CMS-based reporting tools. Sometimes I want to make charts derived from those reports. To make it happen I wrote a CMS-based, written-in-Rexx, general-purpose chart generator that exploits two things: first, Google Visualization API, and second, the notion that I have a CMS-based web server in my environment. In this presentation I'll show you how it all works.

How to provide development teams a faster and more reliable
foundation while giving operations centralized control and peace of mind.
On a Hybrid Cloud world code development can be challenging when mixing multiple hardware architectures. Pipelines as code can facilitate the deployments of applications anywhere but how to provide a solid development platform to this equation? Red Hat CodeReady Workspaces make this concept a reality. Stick to this session and we will show how microservice applications developed on OpenShift on IBM Z/LinuxONE can be deployed anywhere, including OpenShift on Z/LinuxONE, OpenShift on IBM Cloud and OpenShift on Amazon AWS.

Over the past 20 years, the IBM GDPS team has developed many service products under the GDPS solution umbrella, designed to help meet various business requirements for availability and disaster recovery. - Solving chargeback and capacity planning issues for z/VM with SMT
Many installations have asked what metrics to use and how to use them for chargeback and capacity planning when SMT is turned on. It's not right to (over) charge for traditional CPU seconds when those CPU seconds are shared. How much extra capacity can you really get when turning on SMT? We know it is not double. And on previous hardware, there were cases that could be shown as negative. How would you know? Lucky the CP Monitor has many metrics to support understanding all of the above.
