Simultaneous Multithreading is new to z Systems and the IBM z13. On March 13, 2015 z/VM 6.3 will provide support for SMT. Everything that you want to know about SMT will be covered in this session. The first-half of the presentation will focus on new terminology, why SMT, how to enable it in z/VM, and new CP commands. The second half of the session will focus on SMT performance results including monitor and Performance Toolkit updates.
